Shelter was built during a week long sculpture symposium on the sculpture farm of fellow sculptor Barry Tinsley. The symposium was co-sponsered by Purdue University. This sculpture was a prototype for a sculpture series that included seating inside. The 10 sculptures from the symposium were displayed at the universities North Central campus for a year.
