One of the more interesting projects I was involved in, was an outdoor sculpture exhibit in Sydney, Australia. After exploring the traditional forms of transfer, that were very costly, I came to the conclusion that I would hand carry my sculpture in my suitcase. I first checked on the luggage limits of checked baggage, filed the proper customs forms, and designed a 7 foot tall sculpture to fit into 1 large suitcase. The 65 pound sculpture and I arrived in Australia (post 9/11) without any problems. The sculpture, Down the Runway, was exhibited on the Bondi coastline in the world largest outdoor sculpture exhibit Sculpture by the Sea 2002.
